In-school Outreach

Indigenous Futures in Engineering is supported by NSERC's PromoScience program and the Actua network for our educational outreach in schools on First Nations. Over the past 5 years, we have worked with schools in the communities of Six Nations of the Grand River, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Curve Lake First Nation, Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, and Mohawks of Ahkwesahsne.

Our in-school program features enrichment in science and applied mathematics using robotics and coding, planned to directly support the Ontario curriculum and culturally relevant/enriched when possible.

In Fall of 2024, we began a partnership with Connected North, and deliver distance learning workshops in schools across Canada's far north.
